The Railway Relay 2022

Q: What is it?
A: It's a twenty-seven mile team relay run on the old railway line from Peterhead to Ellon.  The route is split into nine legs ranging from approximately two to four miles each.

Open to all abilities, it's a grand day out for all however fast or slow you go.  Run for fun or compete for the top spot against other female, male and mixed teams.

The route follows the old railway line that runs between Peterhead and Ellon and goes through a number of small villages.  Runners can expect quiet trails, beautiful scenery and fast relay legs from around 2 to 4 miles each.  Check the "Information" page for details of the legs.

If that sounds good to you then get a team of 3, 4 or 5 together and sign up for The Railway Relay.

The proceeds of this year's event will be going to Bairnecessities.

Bairnecessities aim is to tackle child poverty and promote re-use by donating baby essentials to families who are struggling. They provide support to families in North Aberdeenshire.

The money raised from The Railway Relay will be used to purchase new mattresses to accompany pre-loved moses baskets and cots.
